Another Big Game for Anunoby

OG Anunoby has been balling out for the Raptors this season. He’s currently averaging career-highs across the board of 20.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Although it’s a small sample size so far, Anunoby is proving that he could be a massive piece to this Toronto team alongside the likes of Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, and promising rookie Scottie Barnes.

The 24-year-old is just playing with tons of confidence. He’s attacking the rim with authority, being physical on the boards, and making it rain from downtown. Anunoby has hit the over in points in two straight games, including a 36-point eruption on Monday against a very good New York Knicks team who pride themselves on defense.

The Cavs are by no means a bad defensive club. But with the way Anunoby is thriving on offense, I expect him to go to work again and put up 20+.

Pick: OG Anunoby Over 19.5 Points (-118)

Harrison Barnes Shows Out

The Sacramento Kings have a few intriguing pieces on their roster, with De’Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, and Tyrese Haliburton profiling to be the future of the franchise. That being said, it’s actually been another player who has led the way offensively through the first handful of games.

Veteran forward Harrison Barnes.

The former NBA champion is on absolute fire, averaging 23.3 points and 9.5 rebounds on a mind-boggling 47% clip from three-point land.

The 29-year-old has never posted numbers like this in his career. Again, it’s early. But with playmakers around him like the three mentioned above, they’re getting Barnes extremely good looks on a consistent basis because he’s been in his bag.

Also, the ex-UNC star has hit the over in points in six of his eight appearances in 2021-22. The Hornets meanwhile have the 28th worst defensive rating in the NBA and come into Friday’s game on a two-game losing streak. Barnes is going to feast and have another big night.

Pick: Harrison Barnes Over 18.5 Points (-104)
