Week 14 of the NFL season begins Thursday night with the Minnesota Vikings hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sunday Night Football features the Chicago Bears (4-8) visiting the Green Bay Packers (9-3), who are 12.5-point favorites. The Bears have lost six of their last seven games and the Packers have won two of their past three.

The Los Angeles Rams (8-4) and Arizona Cardinals (10-2) square off on Monday Night Football in Glendale, Ariz. Favored by 3 points, the Cardinals have won three of their last four games while the Rams snapped a three-game losing skid Sunday with a 37-7 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pack Big Favorites Over Bears

At 12.5 points, the Packers are the biggest favorites on the board. Green Bay had a bye this weekend after beating the Rams 36-28 in Week 12.

The Bears lost to the Cardinals 33-22 on Sunday at home as Andy Dalton was intercepted four times. Dalton was picked on each of Chicago’s first two drives when balls deflected off the intended targets.

Kyler Murray threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more for Arizona in his return from an ankle injury.

Ravens Slim Favorites Against Browns

The Ravens are the smallest opening favorite of the week at 1.5 points on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

The Ravens (8-4) lost 20-19 to the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday, ending their two-game winning streak.

The Ravens had a two-point conversion attempt thwarted after Lamar Jackson’s touchdown pass to Sammy Watkins got them within one point with 12 seconds to go.

Tight end Mark Andrews couldn’t haul in a flip by Jackson. The Steelers recovered an onside kick to seal it.

Jackson took the Ravens 60 yards in eight plays in the final moments, the last six coming on a tumbling grab by Watkins in the back of the end zone. However, coach John Harbaugh’s gamble to go for the win failed.

The Browns (6-6) had their bye this weekend. In an odd scheduling quirk, Cleveland will be playing its second straight game against the Ravens after losing to them 16-10 last week in Baltimore.

Highs and Lows

The largest opening over/under is 53 for the Buffalo Bills’ visit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Six of the Bills’ 11 games this season have gone under the total while the Buccaneers’ 12 games have been split evenly between over and under.

The Buccaneers beat the host Atlanta Falcons 30-17 on Sunday in a game that went under 51 points. Tom Brady threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns, two to longtime favorite target Rob Gronkowski.

A connection that never gets old.

The lowest total is 43 for the Lions-Broncos game in Denver.

Eight of Detroit’s 12 games this year have gone under. However, over 46.5 points was the winning side Sunday as the Lions notched their first win of the season, 29-27 over the visiting Minnesota Vikings. Jared Goff threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown as time expired.

Nine of the Broncos’ 11 games had gone under the total heading into Sunday night’s matchup with the Chiefs in Kansas City.

Movement on the Line?

Based solely on Week 13 results, the Los Angeles Chargers opening as 10-point home favorites over the New York Giants makes a certain amount of sense. The Chargers notched a 41-22 road victory over the Cincinnati Bengals while the Giants lost 20-9 to the Dolphins in Miami.

However, the Chargers had lost four of their previous six games. The Giants were without quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) and then lost backup Mike Glennon to a concussion.

The Chargers are the better team, but not double-digit better. Look for the spread to get bet down.
