GOA extends casino closures till September 13th Due To COVID

Goa has extended its COVID restrictions until September 13th, 2021, due to the recent rise in new COVID cases across India.

The COVID restrictions initially went into effect on May 9th, 2021, and have been extended several times since they were first enforced. Unfortunately, the restrictions mandate that all casinos and other public entertainment facilities remain closed.

Online India Gambling Laws

Online casino gambling in India is legal via Indian gambling laws that were enacted before the online marketplace was an option. Despite restrictive federal gambling laws, Indian players can access and play online casinos, sportsbooks, racebooks, and poker sites legally.

Only three Indian states (Goa, Sikkim, Daman) have enacted domestic gambling laws that allow casinos to operate within their borders. Sikkim was the first state to allow local casinos dating back to 2008, but Goa currently has the most operating casinos.

India Online Casino Options

India online casinos have all the games you will find at brick-and-mortar casinos and more. Popular games include Slots, Baccarat, Roulette, Video Poker, Keno, Blackjack, Pia Gow, and live casino games, to name a few.

To help attract players from India, online casinos offer friendly banking options, bonuses, and perks to get new players started. Some of our favorite banking options include cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and various altcoins) due to their processing speeds, bonus options, and ease of use.

Live Dealer Games at India Online Casinos

Betting on live dealer games is just like gambling at a live casino; in fact, it’s the same thing, except you are looking at a live video feed instead of sitting at the table. When playing live dealer games, you can select your game, the amount you wish to wager, and other options depending on the site you are playing.

Popular live dealer games include Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, and Super6.

When To Expect Goa Casinos TO Re-Open

It’s hard to predict the future with an ongoing pandemic, but we expect domestic casinos to open after the new infection numbers decrease. There is no doubt that the state of Goa wants to open up entertainment facilities to attract tourism, but like many other places in the world, the safety of residents presides over all else.
